to do a swap? any motor swap will require extensive welding , fabricating , cutting.
Hotb is right. Youll need to fabricate mounts, lines, etc. A lot of experimenting will be needed.

If you are going to be the first to do the swap expect to dish out about $15-20gs. If you dont have that cash in hand, then you might as well look at other options.

15-20 g's? wow i have no idea where that number came from. i can get a supercharged 1zz put in including parts , labor , and fab for under 9k. closer to 7k.

And where would this come from? If its around $7k, what are you waiting for? lol. These newer motors are harder to come by. Expect to pay around $5-6k for a good engine. You also get what you pay for in labor, fab quality, etc. Also, if you been in this hobby for a while you know nothing ever goes as planned. Expect to spend some extra $

i can get a full 1zz with trans and ecu for about 1500 , the supercharger kit is about 1800 the labor is the rest.

the shop is called evolution motorsports , they commonly do rb320 swaps , rb25 swaps , rb26 swaps , sr20's into ae86's , rb's into ae86's , s2k motors in ae86's , lots of sick tuff. the owner wants to but a b20 into his xb , lol asstard he is , ha ha .

but yeah my buds have had swaps by them before i trust em.

engine, trans, labor, lines, fittings, fabrication, etc. The fabrication is what is going to cost. Im sure there are companies out there that can get it to work. Im really anal when it comes to things like that so I guess thats where the price differences are.

no honduh should be soo much. they have mount kits for almost all motors. and k20 is huge and not so much worth it imo.

hey can do h , or b swaps into anything for under 5 grand parts and labor. must be nice.

We have done plenty of swaps for under $4k, heck even under $3k. It all depends on the year, model or the car, etc. H and B are so common now, its much cheaper. The K is nice but overpriced and maybe even overhyped. Turbo a B18 and youll kill the K20.

MY JDM DOHC ZC engine/tranny/ECU Swap in my CRX was around 2000. Isn't there another Toyota engine in the same family as the xB engine that could be at least close to direct replacement?
