Hotb is right. Youll need to fabricate mounts, lines, etc. A lot of experimenting will be needed.hotbox05 said:to do a swap? any motor swap will require extensive welding , fabricating , cutting.
And where would this come from? If its around $7k, what are you waiting for? lol. These newer motors are harder to come by. Expect to pay around $5-6k for a good engine. You also get what you pay for in labor, fab quality, etc. Also, if you been in this hobby for a while you know nothing ever goes as planned. Expect to spend some extra $hotbox05 said:15-20 g's? wow i have no idea where that number came from. i can get a supercharged 1zz put in including parts , labor , and fab for under 9k. closer to 7k.
I guess the Honda guys are a lot more hardcore than you guys. haha. We have done a lot of $15k K20 swaps here.hotbox05 said:yeah no motor swap ever should cost that much , lol
if i had 7k laying around i'd do it.
We have done plenty of swaps for under $4k, heck even under $3k. It all depends on the year, model or the car, etc. H and B are so common now, its much cheaper. The K is nice but overpriced and maybe even overhyped. Turbo a B18 and youll kill the K20.hotbox05 said:no honduh should be soo much. they have mount kits for almost all motors. and k20 is huge and not so much worth it imo.
hey can do h , or b swaps into anything for under 5 grand parts and labor. must be nice.
I guess its a joke for some of us, but people come and pay that for the swaps. THe motors are not stock of course,..but still.hotbox05 said:indeed . why i think the 15k k20 swaps are a joke.
hotbox05 said:no there is not. you could get a jdm 1.3 or 1.0 if you really wanted...... lol
