Things are snowballing on me and replacing the shocks and struts are leading to lowering the car and so I might as well go with new wheels while i'm at it.

Suspension: Koni street shocks/struts w/ Eibach sportline 2" drop all around

Wheels: XXR 532 15x8 +20 if I can find them.

I don't want a stretched tire, I don't want to run camber in the rear or spacers and I like a meaty looking tire, plus its more comfy....= i'm getting old.

Current wheel tire: Sparco Assetto Gara 16x7 +37 205/50/16 stock ride height so no rubbing issues of course.

Should I keep the sparcos and just lower the car or go with the XXR's?

I have been looking at every thread I can find for a tire size to fit the XXR's without much luck, any and all help is appreciated!

Even with a mildly stretched tire, you're going to need camber up front. Otherwise, you'll be rubbing like mad.

If I were in your position, I would be looking for some 205/55/15s max, and throwing some camber bolts into the struts. The Sportlines aren't all that low, but the mild poke in the front will likely be enough to make you rub quite a bit when cornering.

Thanks for the reply, looks like I have more research to do. I don't mind running mild camber up front, just didn't want to get crazy in the rear like some of the guys on here. Think I'm gonna stick to my sparcos for the summer and concentrate on he suspension first.

Bumping this up, if anyone can offer more advice. I've been searching like crazy. I think I'm looking at going with 195/55/15 will they rub in the rear on sportline springs?

I don't think you'll really have rubbing issues with the 15x8 +20 on Sportlines. I run a 16x8 +20 w/ 205/45/16s on a much lower drop with no spacers and no camber. I have no issues rubbing in the rear with mildly rolled fenders. The only time I have rubbing issues is when I have passengers or additional weight in the rear and it will rub inside of the wheel well from being too low.

With the 195 tire on the same width wheel you'll have a narrower tire that is a bit more stretched. That in combination with a milder drop and I think you'll be fine. As I stated before though, you will want to dial in a little extra camber up front. You could even stay in spec, you'll just need it on the high side of the spec range.

For tires, I would check out the General G-Max AS-03. I've been running these on my 16s and have been very happy with them. I would have never tried General if I hadn't known they were a sister company to Continental. They also have a nice mail in rebate right now for a $70 Amex card which makes them even more reasonably priced.

Thanks again for your help. Yup I was going to go with those tires, saw the rebate today on tirerack. I had them on my Subaru forester xt and was very happy with them. Been running the general winter tires on the forester, my wife's Mazda and the xb.
