I have been searching everywhere, google, ebay, amazon etc. Does anyone know if they came out with a chiltons, haynes, helms or any kind of reliable shop manual with torque specs for 08 XB yet?

Anyone have a download for it?

Im sure the older gens have similar torque specs, but I like going by the book to make sure its right.:D

Im looking more for specs on suspension and just a good all round reference for the future. I know the dealerships have a 08-09 shop manual but I have not found anywhere to get my hands on one yet.

You can call toyota (go to scion customer service from the website and ask them for the number or PM me).

The repair manual is a 3 volume set and a separate wiring diagram, though.

Cost is a few cents over $311 and somewhere around $70 for the wiring diagram + shipping and tax for both.

I think I'll either wait for another manual, or download an aftermarket TC manual.

All I wanted was torque specs and some basic stuff.

Drain plug torque, to flip through and see if they had any dumb requirements like VW to buy a new drain plug crush washer each time you change the oil...

It's not an emergency at this point - I figured I'd check with a TC owning buddy about convention and whether you need anything above and beyond oil and filter for oil and filter changes.

I never would've thought to ask questions about stuff like this until my wife got a VW and everything has extra steps and parts needed for routine work - not to mention the stupid service manual's request for special tools for everything.

I'm going to guess drain plug torque is about 30lb/ft - but buying the manual at this point is just an execise in having it for later to go through routine service steps.
