Decided the hatch needed a redesign so last weekend I re-did the air ride. This weekend I spent chasing air leaks. Still have to finish the lower half but it's getting there.
Okay, by closely examining Rostra's installation instructions, I determined that I was missing the Throttle Lever Bracket (Rostra part # 250-2616), because it was not present on the junkyard car from which I sourced the rest of the kit (someone had already taken the throttle body, and I'm assuming the bracket went with it)....so at the moment, I don't have a way to connect the cc cable to my throttle. Anyone know if I need a specific Rostra or Toyota part for that, or can I just go to Ace Hardware and DIY it?
To my delight, the new throttle bracket arrived today -- complete with the two washers and a cotter pin! Got the bracket installed with a minimum of fuss, and all I need to do now is install the wiring under the dash.To attach the cable assembly to the bracket, a cotter pin and two #10 flat washers are needed.
I'm happy to report a successful cruise control installation! I connected the wiring yesterday and have already had a couple of test drives with it -- the cruise is working beautifully!Hopefully it won't be long before I finally have cruise control!
Yes, was included with complete setup I bought from member here Myopic. Also have stalk but on the fence about it. RF switch actually supposed to mount to bottom center of steering wheel but as often as I will be using it I decided on the fuse door lid. It seemed sturdier there than on my str whl although less convenient to reach.RF switch? Nice! Is that a Rostra?
Absolutely, it's a must have for me... I just try and keep that tidbit on the D/L...Does it has the audio controls on st whl?
