I replaced the cabin air filter for the first time ever on my '06. Opened up the slot and there wasn't even a filter in there. Dealer must have removed it for the sale. So it's getting it's first filter since I've owned it (15 years).
Funny enough I had the same thing happen with mine when I went to replace the cabin filter. Kinda annoying to me because now there's a bunch of limestone dust in mine from driving around in quarries a few summers ago.I replaced the cabin air filter for the first time ever on my '06. Go with NGK Platinum. You’ll thank me laterNew oem pcv & maf on the way.....just because almost 20 yrs old. New NGK coppers.
Did new oem gas cap and hose clamps on the big hose of the charcoal canister chasing P0420 small evap leak code I got the other day. My gas cap o-ring was pretty crispy but not cracked and that big hose down on the charcoal canister is aged and not cracked but wasn't very tight and somewhat easy to turn by hand so pulled it off and put a hose clamp on each end. The small line connecting charcoal canister to the steel line going to engine compartment was aged but didn't feel cracked anywhere. It has a clamp on both ends. The 2 pieces under the hood going to throttle body are new but need to find the leftover piece of hose from replacing them to do the short piece back by charcoal canister to also eliminate that being the culprit. Cleared fault with Torque app and will see if it is gone or comes back.
Also cleaned the aFe dry flow drop-in engine air filter even though it only has about 5000 miles on it but that 5k represents 2+ yrs of service.
I have two actuators going bad... was it an easy job?Just replaced my 4 door lock actuators on my '05. Finally have power door locks again after 8+ years!
Overall it was a pretty easy job but the but the rear two were more challenging because you have unscrew the door hinge in order to fully unscrew the actuator, whereas for the front ones I was able to unscrew the actuator with a stubby philips without unscrewing the hinges.I have two actuators going bad... was it an easy job?
