So I got busy on the xb yesterday. I installed a carbon fiber hood, then sprayed it to match. (I hate carbon fiber but the price was good and it needed fixed)

Installed two new stealth black Viair 444c compressors under the xb, new rear double stack bags, cut and modified a set of rear shocks from a Toyota Sienna.

I made door brackets and installed a pair of 6.5 inch components. I then installed a sc1000 batcap and two Optima Yellow top batteries under the floor in the rear hatch. Built a ported woofer box tunes to 36hz installed for 6.5 inch DS-18 subwoofers and the PA 5000 watt amp. Way more amp than I needed, but it was an extra I had laying around. I'm loving the 10.6 tab in the dash!

Installed some Winjet fogs on the girlfriends xB2. Wasn’t as a pain as I expected aside from splicing the Winjet switch to the factory wiring. That took a little while to figure out, even after some Google-fu. Found some tips and tricks from this forum as well as others, which made it easier overall. Now to get some LED bulbs for them and it’ll be good to go.

Can you show us more of your tablet? I'm looking to upgrade my radio and I hear the radios with Android auto don't work well with the Torque app.

BTW, very inspirational to see the process of your builds. I like to pick and choose what guys like you have done for my "copycay upgrades".

Franky you should do a DIY on that !!!! LOL

Just remembering the good old days !!!!

I was following a few of those! Haha I was SOL with the harness/button part since it wasn’t wired up the way it was described in the DIY, but that’s why it didn’t take THAT long. Also set up her reverse light to take an H11 bulb, now I’m just waiting on the LED bulb to get here this week from superbrightleds. Figured if its just one bulb, make it count.

I’ve been working on the xB2 lately. Got an H11 led headlight from superbrightleds to wire into the reverse light. Modded the base a tiny bit and in it went! Originally was going to use an empty (re: cheap eBay bulb) 7443 socket and run the neg and pos like the wires but it wouldn’t secure properly in the socket. Ended up using some scotchloks to splice into the wires more securely. Will have to return and properly waterproof with some silicone (does liquid electrical tape do this too?) but it looks real good and bright. Will take some night shots too but heres a quick snap

The led fogs are on their way, hopefully by end of week. I’m excited because I don’t usually get to mod her car, even if its little things like this.

Hope all y’all are keeping cool out there. It’s been nice and toasty out in SoCal this week

I ordered the missing half of my rear bumper cover a few days ago and picked up the other half from my parents house. Do you guys know what kind of clips I will need to reinstall? It looks like the regular clips you find all around but I’m not exactly sure.

Great work on the xB Ray! True show quality.

You probably know this; like other type of batteries, Optima AGM batteries should be vented to the outside of a vehicle. Even AGM's produce gas during charging at excessive voltage levels, or in extreme high-temperature conditions. Their safety valves can pop open under high pressure and release vapor. At a concentrated vapor level in a non-vented compartment a spark from any nearby source can ignite the gas.
