Thank god! lol did you paint and install a plug to cover the hole?
What?????????? You didn't like my wiper :D I really wanted to mount a hand that would wave when I put the wiper on but it kept flying off.
I found a round piece of plastic the right size that I painted and then siliconed into place. It will do for now but Ill keep my eye open for an electricians plug that will fit in there. Have you connected the light bulbs for your gauges yet

I hate the rear wiper with a passion lol. This is my plug. Brought from homedepot for like a buck and a quick DIY paint.

Well god f**king damn. Might have to buy another one and try again. Couldn't get it cut in half even enough to suit me. Poor motor skills sick a big wet one. Wish I could find a cut off tool between a Dremel and cut off grinder so I had more control. Besides ruining the material, also exploded the cut off wheel and took a nip out of my leg.
I would use 2 c clamps and a thin piece of wood for a straight edge. Find the center, clamp the straight edge on the material then make a few shallow passes with the grinder and cut-off blade.
Saw that on Bob Vila once :D

Drove it. I need to fix the audio. The sub keeps cutting in and out. Not sure why.

Salvaged the project thanks to Pep Boys door edging. 90% happy with the results, but will re-do them if I ever run across a similar vent in stainless. Was inspired to do something different by Nick's wooden grills. Made me realize how cheesy my stocker's covered in stainless screen looked.

They came out much better with that trim. Nice work man! Reminds me, I got my speaker fabric today. Started messing around with different glues and adhesives to see what works best...
