I went through the car wash Friday night in my 08 XB and then the VSC off light came on with the check engine light, tried to reset by unhooking the battery...but no success...today (Monday) lights finally go off by themselves! this has done this before driving through a puddle! The car is totally stock!!

I had this same problem in my 05 xb 112 XXX manual tranny. But this started during the colder weather periods every since ive been parking in first or in reverse without using the e-brake the car has been mechanically sounds for weeks no sign of lights.

Hey so I just had my tranny rebuilt and the same 3 lights were on. I spoke with the dealership and they said that sometimes when the check engine light pops the VSC and Traction lights pop too, doesn't necessarily mean there are issues with them. Most likely the Check Engine light! You said no codes came up though?

Ohh by the way, it was my check engine light that started it cuz some dooshbag tried putting a broken O2 sensor back into my exhaust! But thats a whole other story, lol!

unplug negative to battery for 15 minutes then hook back up reset the ecu if they reappear just go to autozone or advanced auto parts and they will run them for free im pretty sure everywhere else charges a fee.

I had the same problem recently. I had gotten stuck in the snow and had to be pushed out. Later that night, I returned to my car and the VSC system engaged and applied the brakes when I tried to accelerate. Had to turned the damn thing off to get home and the next morning that light cluster came on. It did that for about 3 or 4 days and right before I was going to take it in, it turned off and hasn't bothered me since. Where exactly is this sensor on the car, out of curiosity.

Same thing happened to me. Took it to the dealer and since I had the Weapon R intake, they guy told me that the air flow of the intake threw the Mass Airflow Sensor off and he simply restarted the computer. After, the lights came back on. I sold my intake due to being short on cash and the lights went away all alone. I also noticed that when the lights are on, the car revs at random for a bit from time to time.

I also have the VSC, Trac Off, and ABS light on. I just recently added the NRG quick release with a short hub. I know that I will have the ABS light on, but the VSC and Trac off came on as well. I hooked up the OBD2 scanner and it threw a U0126 code which is about the Steering wheel angler sensor. I took out the Air bag/coilspring and disconnected 1the plugs so Im wondering if I have to bypass the plug or anything. Please help

I think this is the same situation I ran into. My issue was an O2 sensor which initially tripped the Check Engine Light but the Tract and VSC came on as well. The dealerships agree that one light can trip the rest of them. It doesn't necessarily mean you have a BIG problem. You might be able to clear them out but if they come back then you might have to fix the original problem for them all to stay off. (Did that make sense?lol)

I got all three lights and pulled a code for abs sensor and a leak in the evap system. Found a hose that was off and fixed that, ran along the whole abs system and everything checked out. Cleared the codes, hasn't come back in 500 miles

I had the same light come on the last 2 time i drove the car, i have an injen cold air intake and tsudo exhaust, didnt have any problem till cold weather came along. Not sure if thats has anything to do with it but someone mention that too.Lights came on and started ideling weird, was like a min away from work, so shut it off and let it be, cane out at break time start it it up and it was running fine, just had the light on so unpluged the battery to reset the computer and light went off.Got out of work drove home and no problems, the next morning same issue.i dont use it on winter so i just garaged it but not sure if im going to run to same problem on warmer weather..To me sound like it could be the oxygen sensor or the sensor that goes on the intake, had a similar idle problem with my toyota matrix and thats what it reminds me of...hope everyone fixes their issues....good luck

FWIW, if the break ( red light ), ABS & VSC light all come on, NO CEL on - WINTER - 1 of the sensors has ice in it. This can happen when the car is driven in slush when the "E" brake is used & the car sits over night.
I've had this happen 2 times this year. Both times the "E" break was on - "E" break off, I have not seen the this issue since. If the CEL is on ice is not the problem
