the bracket is availale at Kragen/shucks and autozones, sometimes even walmart (though theyre selection isnt usually as large - the bolts and tube spacers, washers etc, im guessing any hardware store (the tubes may have been cut from something?
and the rest (caps and covers,) at an autoparts store...
Great Find! ive gotta make mine fit under the bumper, no stock grille for me
tim, i believe i used 4in. coarse bolt w/ coarse nut w/ washer w/ lock washer and i forgot what it was called, but the tube stem deal.
all these items can be purchased at OSH Hardware store and the like.
i eyeballed everything at the store, so size and specs on these are guess only.
if you use the 4in. bolt and use 1 of the tube stem w/ washers, you will have about 2 to 2-1/2in. of bolt left behind the grill.
if you use the 4in. bolt and use 2 of the tube stem w/ washers, you will have about 1/2in. of bolt left behind the grill.
i believe that i bought all this for under $10.00
with this bracket, you can fit, slide the bolt and bracket anyway you want it baby!!
I live in OHIO, a front plate is required.....however, I had it vandalized off a Ford Escort and did not replace it, and did not plan on doing so. However, I had to have some repair work done and it was replaced.
When I made the downpayment on the xB, one of the first things I told them was......NO PLATE ON THE FRONT. I do not want a front plate messing up my areodynamics (ROTFLMAO). Front plate was not put on. I recently got stopped while driving the BOX. (The highway patrolman said I was going 81 mph. I was in 3rd gear...and no way in hell is the BOX able to do it. Paid the ticket, figured it made up for times I got stopped and did not get a ticket.) Anyway, State Highway Patrolman did not say a thing about a missing front plate. I do have the plate somewhere in the back of the car....and if pushed will put it on------the dashboard, just like I see on other cars.
