yesh, just snatch the ECU from the TS. I don't know if the same axles are used between the Yaris and xB.

If anyone can get close and look under the hood of a Yaris, could see if the motor mounts are in the same spot as the Scion's.

IMO, putting a 2ZZ in it would be better. it has 170hp and its still an 1.8L.

the 1zz and 2zz are very much the same motor , the head and intake manifolds as well as pistons and valves are different. same motor family/group , same displacement , same block same mounts if i remember correctly.

the 2zz is ok but is torqueless , slow to get power , basically a honduh wannabe.

the trd supercharged 1zz has the same hp , with buttloads more torque.

The Yaris motor swap should be more easyto swap than the 2zz motor. It have to be a drop in and change computer.
Will be chepaer than a 2zz complete swap.

The 1ZZ-FE is a better motor, esp. the Gen 2 Dual VVTi (VVTi & VVTLi). they also respond well to Forced induction. I think that you'd have to replace the front subframe to get the motor mounts correct & then custom fab up the hoses, Fuel lines & wiring.

Overall a nice choice, If they do bring it here, I might just have to trade up.
