Ah ok, you have Randy's struts. That makes sense now. It would be simple enough to weld the tabs on if you want to keep the sway bar but if not then you just sacrifice some cornering and handling ability. If you do decide to have them put on you actually have an advantage. Normally when the xB is lowered you should lengthen the end links to compensate for the sway bar not being parallel to the ground any more. In you case you can have the tabs welded on at a lower position on the strut to level the bar back out. Just make sure you measure everything with the car at ride height if you decide to do it.
