Hello all. I am having some issues with my 2006 Scion Xb. During Start up my does not turn and I here a clicking noise coming from the dash; the lights also flicker. I believe it is a simple problem to fix, but I am not the best diagnostician. I have been looking through forums and can't seems to find the answer. Can anyone offer some assistance?

Clicking usually means that your car's battery doesn't have enough juice to start up.

Thanks. Ill jump it. It surprises me that I am having battery issues. I recently replaced the battery myself. Is it possible that my alternator is going bad or some other underlying cause?

It could be the alternator, but check other things too like if there's any dash lights turned on.

Did this end up being the battery? The clicking noise comes from the battery not being able to supply enough power to the starter to spin the starter motor.
