Speedometer relocation have any of you guys done it yet?

Has anyone added anything like a digital speedo/big tach onto there Scion yet?

I think that is going to be one of my only interior mods planned for this quarter.

A nice digital speedo right in the middle followed by some other semi-essential/cool gauges.

Post your pics if you have any.

You don't like that big mantel clock sitting in the middle of your dash? :D

I haven't replaced my analog speedo, and don't plan to, but the ScanGuage II living in it's cavern above the steering column does have a digital speed readout that I occasionally use.

Some mods can't be spoken of before showing, translated: I'd tell you but I'd have to kill you. ;)

I was thinking of a regular digital gauge:

A long list of options color etc:

Long ass list of Tachs:

Just sink it into the spot old school muscle car restoration style.

I am used to using a HUD projected in the center bottom of my winshield view and the center mount speedo is WAY outa my normal range.

Plus I think a completely custom gauge set-up (not just pillar whatnot) is always a nice touch in a fun-to-drive car.

BTW these are COOL:

Genesis I wanted to just replaced them with digital gauges but the size is the issue, those cyberdyne gauges are only 3 3/8".

Ohhhhh.

It would be a million time easier to put additional ones on that to put another one on top of one.

A redundant speedo is okay if one is digital and the one is analog and located in a lame location. <- opinion

Plus it looks good next to an larger aftermarket tach (which serves no purpose due to my car being an auto) and whatever other gauges you think you need.

*edit*

I wouldn't take out the stocker anyway just because you know that isn't going to screw up. Even if the stock tach is slower than an aftermarket unit.

The stock one could always be hiden in the dash. There is room for it. Then you could fabricate something to put the digital ones where the stocker was.

One of the big points about adding a digital one is that I hate the stocker's location.

Maybe it is because I am old fashioned though...

I do like IRS on my muscle cars though even if they can't handle stickies.
