Did anyone else receive a survey in the mail from a company called "Research Design Specialist" out of Cypress CA? They sent out a general survey for vehicles ranging from Hummer to xBs. They also offer $125 to come in for a few hours for a panel discussion with car designers to talk about likes/dislikes of your vehcile. Just wondering if anyone received anything like this or know anything about the comany.

I got one a while back too but decided to pass on it. They actually wanted to use my car for a day, give me a loaner and pay me $200 bucks. I'm not real cool with loaning my car out even for cash.

Thanks for the info guys. I ended up just filling out the survey since it didn't ask for any really personal info. Just phone number if you want to possibly take part in the panel discussion. For 125 bucks I'll speak my mind for a few hours though.

Taz: I'm shocked they had the balls to ask to borrow your car! Screw that.......money or not, nobody drives my car.

That'd be cool. I'm hoping they give us a call to come in. Easy money if you ask me.

^^^might as well. Can't think of a better way to make some cash, and maybe they'll call on ya for future surveys. Sounds legit by the few people who have done it.

I havent gotten one yet! :( Maybe mines lost in the mail!
Want one of mine?

These idiots have sent at least 3 my way

I hate junk mail, I tried calling them @ 800-736-7970 today to get off their mailing list. They said they couldn't remove me & that they got my info from some other company who I could call @ 212-768-7277 to try & get off the list. Weren't even sure if that would work because that company apparently got my info from the DMV.

WTF?

Why should I have to call some company long distance?

And I thought the DMV didn't sell our info to places like this. (Just the courts so I can pull jury duty once a year  )

Anyone know if I can opt out at the DMV level?
