To revive this thread with a more limited result, I want to put JUST a Prius ENGINE in an xB

Prius motor in an XB?

Do you think it would be possible? I think it would be very cool to have a heavily modded car that is also ecofriendly. What are your thoughts?

I stopped by a new friends house to talk about a different car and noticed an engine I recognized.

It was a first gen Prius engine and motor/generator.

When I asked about it, he asked me if I wanted it?

Needless to say it peaked my interest!


As it turns out he was in search of a Prius MOTOR/Generator as a spare and it came WITH the engine also.

Seeing I'm searching for an xB engine, I'm going to follow up this engine possibility.

Seeing it's an old link, I assume there is more info somewhere?

Yes it's been done. Randode has done it at least 2 or 3 times that I can recall.

Not really sure, he hasn't posted on here for years and I never paid a lot of attention since it was for a 1st gen.
