My grill is painted in a glossy black. As mentioned earlier by short bus. PRIMER. Very important.

I sanded the grill down, and in between each fin.

Then you take some thinner on a rag and wipe it down to get all the particles off.

Make sure its, smooth and CLEAN.

(IN A PAINT BOOTH) Spray one coat of primer. Let it dry. Sand it with a sft grit sander paper, by hand.

Then spray one more coat of primer. Do the same.

After the second coat of primer, wipe down with a damp cloth, and let it dry. Make sure you keep it in a place where it wont get anything on it.

After its dry, start painting. You see, the key here is the prepping. this will ensure that you dont see it chipping on the highway after a week. Plus it'll look "TOIGHT. . . like a toiger."
