Hello, forum members. You may have noticed an outage on the site yesterday for a few hours. Google Cloud Services experienced a pretty significant outage which impacted many online services and may have caused this site to be inaccessible to some members for a while. It appears all Google Cloud services have been restored. Our team monitored through the evening and into today. Everything does appear to be back to normal, though. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Carry on! :)

SORRY TO POST HERE BUT WHAT CAN I DO?

I have been a member for many years but now I cannot post a new thread. I do not know why. I tried to post a couple of threads about technical issues about problems I have had and some solutions.

Can I please be allowed to post?

Hello,

Where were you trying to post when you encountered this issue. From what I can see there are some parts of the forum where you can not post because of the number of posts you have submitted. Lurking is always fine, but some areas of the forum require a minimum of 10 posts by users before they can submit threads.

@I was unaware of the new thread policy The comments I wanted to post were going to be on closed threads. I still have my xB 04 but just bought a xB 06. So I still have things to add. Given all the closed threads that are related [many times with imprecise or erroneous info] I probably should forget about posting. At least that is what the rules decree. Phil in Rochester NY;

If a thread is closed it generally has been closed for a reason, but that doesn't mean you can not begin a new thread with the things you wanted to add on to the closed one. :)

I'm confused. How can I post when I cannot start a new thread?
Depending on where you're looking to post you may not meet the requirements to start a new thread there. Check the rules for the forum, or that section of the forum as it will generally lay out more rules about who can and can not start threads in given sections.
