After a much too long hiatus, I've returned to CxB and discovered that there is a Ladies Lounge??

And there are NO THREADS??

That's just horrendous.

Come on, ladies... I know you're out there. Speak up! Don't let me think I'm alone here!

I'll begin:

Hi, my name is Megan. I'm a 31-year old single mother in NW Georgia. I still own my '06 xB that I purchased in 2011. My little girl is 3 years old, is my own personal terrorist/angel and I'm busting my ass with working full-time and going back to college to obtain a business degree (so I can compensate for her absentee sperm donor who left us for his 20-year old co-worker). But we're getting through it.

Yes, my life has drama. Who's doesn't?

I love my Dirty Toaster (my '06 is a Polar White model, so it looks like a kitchen appliance) and couldn't imagine getting through these years without it. It has been through its fair share of hell, crossing from the West Coast to The South being the first, and definitely shows her age. She's like me.. a little beaten and battered, but still going strong.

Let me know you're out there, ladies. It may be a man's forum, but there's plenty of room for us, too. :D

Yeah, she's been going through a lot lately too. I miss that wonderful woman...

It just goes to show that womenfolk need to be encouraged to join the community. There have to be more of them out there that are enthusiasts (without being stuck up beeyotches), we just need to find them.

I don't mind hanging with the guys though, all of you have been so kind and welcoming to me from the start. It was nice when I could make you guys proud with my piddly little penny-mods. lol But hey, it was something, and I loved being able to do it with my own hands. :)

Thank you! I remember when Teresa and Deb and even Ashley were all regularly adding to the dynamic here... I still keep in touch with them privately from time to time, but it's not quite the same.

I totally understand! She and I text once in a blue moon, but she is sorely missed.

But is this really what the female variety has dwindled down to??

Well, I guess I'll just have to keep adding my nonsense to the site then... you know, for credibility's sake. lol

I felt really guilty being gone, and truthfully missed the hell out of writing for you guys... it was nice to feel like I was writing articles that could be appreciated, even though I have NO EXPERIENCE or real knowledge. lol But, you know, life and stuff and things....

I haven't been able to do anything noteworthy to the Filthy Stormtrooper.Dirty Toaster in years, although I did buy a hand-painted engine cover a few years ago that I still haven't put on. It's in storage at the moment in the attic. I plan on changing the spark plugs in the next month or so, so I figure I'll put it on then. My mechanic/brother thinks it's stupid and ugly, but he's an Audi snob, so I stopped listening to his criticism when it comes to adding little touches that aren't "performance" related. lol I love him dearly though.

He was once a Toyota man himself, in his own early years... but he has since climbed the social ladder, both he and the missus have "His & Hers" Audi's.

He's forgotten his roots. lol
