Yes!
My 2013 Scion XB started to do this right after I hit 125,000 miles. Both the dealership and Valvoline confirmed this happens often with these engines.
Plus they don't make these engines anymore! The dealership found a used one with 50,000 miles but wanted to charge me $10,000....
My one buddy offered to completely take the engine apart and rebuild it, but I honestly didn't have the time.
Instead I went to Carvana, and found a 2015 Scion with less than 5000 miles on it! It was a miracle. I didn't want a new car payment but I basically got an upgrade with a backup camera.
So yes, you can either keep putting oil in this, try to get a new engine, have someone rebuild the engine or get a new car...
