you may run into rubbing issues on the inside of the tire along the trailing arm. is there any reason you want a wider in the rear when its the same size wheel? 225 40 will not only be wider but taller as well, so it will add some rake yo your car

If you want 225/40/18's i got some for sale. I havent posted it yet but there are Yokohama Prada Spec 2's with less than 500 miles on them. You wont have any rubbing issues. Ive seen a guy with 225/40/18 on 18 x 7.5 on S-tech's and he said no rubbing issues.

With a front wheel drive car, you should have the wider tires in the front & the thinner tires in the rear. This reduces understeer & improves handling. I'd just get some 215/35-18 tires again.
