So I want to wire my cold cathodes to my parking lights as well so that when my car unlocks or locks the cold cathodes flash with the parking lights. Now I know I could wire another switch to include the power to my lights to the switch and from the switch to the cathodes but then when I have my lights on for driving that would activate the cathodes as well. So I need to know how to wire my cathodes to flash when I lock and unlock my car I guess
Thanks!

you basically make two positive leads. one going to a switch that goes to an always on powers, the other leading either to the parking lights, or the alarm

but if I wire it to my parking lights then i would constantly have to change the switch back and forth so that when I am driving the cathodes are not on and if I then wanted the cathodes to flash when I park and lock the car i would have to change the switcha again

depending on what exactly you want,

can be as simple as a couple of 25 cent diodes placed in the alarm and
cathode leads
or
a nice little relay setup would allow 2 positives- one from your switch for
manual control and other from your alarm for flashing.
each would control independently of the other.
