OK, I was an installer back in the early 90's, so installing TV equipment should be no problem, but I have been out of the loop for so long that I have no idea where to start.

Basically I want to install either 2 headrest TV's or one big flip down so my kids will not drive me insane on long trips. My question is:

1. I just want to play DVD's or video games. What all do I need?

2. I want something that is gonna look stock, kinda like it grew there.

3. I dont want to change my HU.

4. I dont have a ton of $$ to spend.

Any suggestions?

audiovox has some decent moniters that support multiple a/v inputs,
start there then add a small mobile dvd player and game console (plenty of room under the front seats).

many of the newer screens for sale have small speakers in them or are capable of wireless headphones so they can be independant of your stock audio system.

hope this helps.

If you're looking to not cost so much and play DVDs and such, the overhead is definitely the way to go. Weird, cuz I was just thinking about selling mine today...

hopefully this gives ya some ideas

heres the bear minimum (if ya wanted to buy a really cheap dvd player separate and hook it up that way which is great or if your current HU already supports video input/output)

I will be at the Thompson Toyota Scion event later this month with Strictly Scionized if you feel like coming up. I should have it by then.
