To reset the maintenance light. Hold down the odometer knob and then turn the key to aux. 5 dashes come up and one by one they'll go away until they blink and reset themselves.

he he, i just have recived the car, now its only to get it ready for the road and make it pass EU regulation.

But the ones who have seen it is laughing and cant belive their eyes, its being called the strange car! It REALLY stands out here in Sweden, the other cars here are like 40% Volvo, 30% Saab, 30% German cars.

The car is dark blue with nice 18" inch wheels. and tinted windows

Just to let you know when people ask, the color is Blue Onyx Pearl :)

I know just how you feel, I had one of the first xB's in Idaho...I loved the looks I got :) I wonder what it would take to import a Renault or a Peugout (sp?) over to here!!

Well, you used to be able to buy those cars here....do they still have dealerships in this country?

I have a buddy who did the import of a AMG Mercedes thing from Germany and ran into nothing but problems. From shipping costs to getting it certified to be driven on our roads, then to DMV, where I still think he has been getting hassled and has not been cleared completely. He say's it is all worth it though...and the car is Badass! The model number is escaping me at the moment but I think it is a 04' 500. It's a big V-8,2 door, that is supercharged and all black...not a bit of chrome at all. It sits in his garage 99% of the time,so I have not been given a ride in it.

Welcome! Sweden rocks. My first wife (rest her soul) was of Swedish decent. She was beautiful. The only Swedish I remember is (spelling phonetically) taksamaka & varsago. Oh, and yalskida.

Anyway, to reset the maintenance required light:

1. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the ON position and make sure your odometer display is up (not the trip odometer).
2. Turn the key to the OFF position.
3. Push and hold the trip odometer reset button while turning the key to the ON position. Hold the button in until the maintenance required light flashes twice then release the button. This should reset the light for another five thousand miles.

On a side note, if you wish to change the interval at which the light comes on, follow these steps.

1. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the ON position, make sure the display is the odometer and not the trip odometer.
2. Push the trip odometer button in and hold it while turning the key to the ON position. As you do this you will notice five little dashes at the bottom of the display panel. They will blank out one at a time until they are all gone. Each dash represents 1,000 miles. Let the button out when you reach the milage that you want the light to come on. If you leave four dashes it will come on at 4,000 miles and so on.

Good luck and enjoy being really unique there in Sweden!:D

Thanks for the varm welcome and information :)

Shipping to Sweden was about 2900 USD, i helped my friend getting a Eclipse GT -06 (not sold in Europe) so we splitted the cost :)

I have understand that its quite difficult to get a car from Europe certified in US, The cars are generally more expensive in Europe then in US so its not a business in it either.. unless you maybe buy a BMW or MB i think

I just had a child so i cant use it for family transportation :) But it would forfill my need to go shopping diapers and food :) and also some crusing :)

Blue onyx, thanks i will remember that
