I have always hated the plastic dipstick in the xB. Fortunately, Steve at ScionPro has a remedy in the form of this nicely polished aluminum cap

This is a cap, and does require modification to the end of the dipstick, but everything from the seal to the end remains, so you don't have to worry about the calibration being off or any possible leaks, not to mention warranty issues for sticking a non-factory part into your engine. A Dremel and about ten minutes is all this took.
