Hello. I am changing my engine on my 05 xB M/T. The engine is blown, and i already found a replacement. Anyone know any videos, diagrams, etc? Any suggestions, FYIS, things i should know, things i need to worry, what tools i need, what i need to know before removing an engine, what i need to remove first, what parts i need to remove, etc? Thanks

Two gentlemen have extensive experience on the matter that the club is familiar with: Superbee44 and 1.8 Tony. Jawhn has plenty of knowledge too and I'm sure I'm missing someone. Start off with YouTube- there are a plethora of videos on there. That's my $02. Cents others should chime in.

I have already looked into youtube. There are a few, but they are either low quality and do not show how, or they just are "rebuilding" or changing the head gasket.

Help is on the way!
This isn't a complete video- but this is what I found so far: it's just one way of doing it. This gentleman is as down to earth as can be lol But he should give you some starting ideas.
Easiest way to come out
is to drop it out the bottom.
Disconnect the suspension
And the mounts on both sides
Yank out both of the cv axles
Then pull the harness
Then undo the 4 bolts on the engine cradle
And drop it all down while raising the body of the car.
A lift makes it easy, but you can do it with a engine picker and a floor jack
If you look on here there is a thread or 2 on it.
In a good day you could have it out and back in.
