Hey everyone, I thought I'd Finally get around to making a build thread. Just a little background. I'm a college student at the Savannah College of Art and Design studying motion media design. I'm from a small town in southern New Hampshire witch is where i am durring the summer. I never have much money to put into my car so it has gone slow. I only seriously got into modding this past year. I've gotten into taking pictures of my car recently as well. The Stylo name and grill is a reference to a music video by the Gorillaz.

First off here's a pic of me and my car as it sits now.

these are before the intake, vent visors, and painted mudflaps. The exhaust had to be put on by a shop for my lack of tools. I intended to put it on myself, but they installed it for the price of the breaker bar I was going to get to put it on myself.

This is a more recent shot from behind. You can see the Light Strips i added to the taillights and headlights here.

I got and installed my ram air intake and cleaned my MAF sensor. got the intake for $65 off ebay. It's a no name but I believe its identical to the HPS intake sold by the same seller. The hps comes painted and with a K&N Filter, bit the pipe is the same. they sent me Instructions for the K&N Typhoon intake. The main difference is the heat shield. This leads me to believe i got a $65 version of a $150 intake thats a ripoff of a $250 intake. So i'm pretty happy with it. It sounds great as well. My Mileage has also seen an improvement.

I have not pictures of the Strut bar I added the other day but it's there now. we will end on a nice current picture

Over the summer I may not be able to do much witch is a shame, but I'm looking into wheels and or springs. looking to even out that wheel gap on some Nf210 or TRD springs. the ebay header is cheap and has been getting good reviews so thats also a possibility. sway bars would also be great. what i get will probably depend on what i can find deals on and whatnot. and that about wraps it up for now.

StealthBox- I'm right next to Derry in Chester. Are there any good regular meets around? I'm making the 20hr drive back north on the 3rd so i'll be up there pretty quick.

AXIOM8888- I've been looking at at a few sets of 16" wheels. looking to keep my tires as they have plenty of tread and are much cheaper to replace. I think its going to be between Rial Milano in Titanium Gunmetal or MSW Type 22.

ketchup_xb - Thanks man, you're a pretty big player here on this forum.

It's great you are enjoying your xB and making it your own. Pics look very good

What's that exactly?
I get this all the time lol. Its hard to explain and there are a few ways to try. Its kind of like Graphic Design but for TV, Film, and web. It's a lot of animation, video, and special effects in any kind of mixture. Lower thirds and intros to television shows and movies and the like. Most of the stuff is done in Adobe After Effects or Cinema 4D, but basically if it moves and its watched on a screen than its motion media. Motionographer.com has lots of cool examples. a good way to explain it is, its like the intro to casino royale.

That only regular scion meets that I know of are held by Scionrg. They do monthly meets at Sal's I think.

We are having a small ClubxB New England meet on the 5th at Quinsigamond State Park in Worcester. I know it is right after you will getting home but you should try and make it.

jdmpirate-Thanks man

StealthBox-I probably wont be able to make that one, I'll be busy unpacking catching up with some friends and setting up my internship in boston.I will do my best to make the next one though. I'd love to get to some dealership sponsored events this summer too if there are going to be any.

illest- You cant go wrong for the price and i wanted to stay away from the CAI for fear of hydrolock. I Might look into the actual HPS intake too. I'm not sure if it will be cheaper to get a K&N and heat shield separately if you planed on doing so. I went that route to save money in the short run. you can usually save $5-10 if you find an auction with a make an offer too.

So i had some of those neat little LED licence plate fasteners. I noticed one had gone out tapped them, the other went out. figured it was a shoddy wiring job on my part so i went to take them off. Without the slightest bit of force the bolt head snapped off. Stupidly i tryed to take off the other, it snapped off just as easy. there's no head to these bolts anymore they are sheared flush with the hatch. anyone got any ideas on how to get them out. I dont thik it's doable from the inside either. for now my licence plate is being held on with 3M tape. i'm not too confident in 3m tape.

Mine's held on with 3m and velcro strip at the bottom. It doesn't rattle with the subs and its held on fine.

Found some Acura RSX split 6 spoke wheels that should be a perfect fit and the right price. It'd be great to get off these steelies.
