i saw this all red tail lights on one of the pics for the hooters thing out in cali. were they bought or did they make them? if bought where, how much???

you can paint them yourself or buy a vinyl overlay to get that look.

Try those sites for overlays. Painting is cheaper but you can get very good results.

There is three different techniqes for painting the tails.

to spray or not to spray

thanks any auto parts store will have this spray? and the spray is transparent right?

The spray is Testors Candy Apple Red......it is transparent....you can get it at any hobby store,

You have to take the Lights apart, and paint the reflector part that is silver, black.

not if they light up...
dont paint the reverse part black, if you paint the silver part behind the red part black....how are they going to tell?


and this coming from the guy that has his tails tinted.

I've been pulled over twice with mine and they were never even mentioned. I did worry though.

does anyone have some stock tailights i could get really really cheap? i wouldnt mind doin that but i dont want to ruin mine, or change my mind later and be screwed.

I have some already painted, but they cracked a little on the edges when I was taking them apart. It can't be seen well though.

whats the best way to paint them... inside or outside..???

and another question.. why to they have to be in the oven...

whats the reason for that..??? wanna make sure before paint

them... thanks
