Does anybody know of any aftermarket MPG gauges? It seems it would be wuite difficult to create one, but I'm just wondering if anybody has come up with one. because this is something i could really use. i'm not getting nowhere near the mpg i think i should be getting.
Mpg guages are useless. Most high end cars of the early ninties came with them stock.
They are useless because everytime you step on the gas they read like 0mpg and when you coast down the highway they peg out at 99mpg.
I don't know exactly how they do it, but my Mom's Pontiac Aztek has a mpg guage that reads an average mpg since mile 1. It's also kinda useless now that she has 15000 miles on her car because now since it's an average it never changes more than .1mpg each month.
Ive been looking into installing a digital MPH, Tach and fuel gauge, the fuel gauge works on resistance, 104 ohms full and 7 ohms empty (i think i have to find my notes).
Im looking for all 3 gauges then I can combine them into one and set them in the factory location with a little modifying of the gauges.
