I reorded these forums. But i have a question.

What if the parts are for both Gen 1 and 2? Where do they go? Do we need another category?

Maybe just make 2 threads.

Re: Better Classifieds

I would also suggest just making 2 threads if the part is interchangeable between Gen1 and Gen2.

But my question is, should we make multiple threads if you have multiple things to sell? Or maybe a part out thread? I'm not sure what would be easier for the community.

If you have multiple listings it might be a little more time consuming to put each item in, but its so much nicer for members and potential buyers to see all the parts separately rather than to dig though multi-listing threads. It also really helps the seller since single item listings will be indexed better in search engines to members outside of the site.

Re: Better Classifieds

IDK how I feel about the new system yet, but the first part I liked. (re-ordered everything). We'll see how the new 3rd party listing client works.

Re: Better Classifieds

I will say this. It makes reading the post a lot cleaner. Only downside is multiple items will have to be added one at a time.

Re: Better Classifieds

It looks like everyone now can post up in the classified section. You don't need that certain amount of posts to do it.

Re: Better Classifieds

Are we "required" to use the new 3rd party website or can we still do our own Paypal stuff? Having to make a thread for each individual item seems annoying and could clutter the classifieds. Especially if someone is parting out.

You can do your own PayPal. its an option at the end of the form you fill out.

Parting out and having individual listings i think will make it easier for members to find parts- more searchable and visually more browsable than a list of threads. If it fills up with too many listings, we can further break down the categories if you like.

Ok cool and point well taken.

Re: Better Classifieds

I can honestly say I'm not a fan of this new Panjo system. Things were MUCH smoother and simpler for myself before. Multiple items require multiple listings (and I usually have multiple items available at any given time).

I just posted a set of tail lights for the 2nd Gen and it's not even showing up in the normal classified section...are people even seeing it? I can't find it anywhere.

---------- Post added 08-30-2013 at 11:25 AM ----------

An update on my humble opinion of this new system...

Well, I now have no idea if anyone is even looking at what I have available (so I can get some kind of feel of interest for the part which tells me if I should try to find more). As far as I can tell, there is no way for people to put in comments or suggestions (a.k.a., replying to a FS thread) concerning the item. I really enjoyed having 'conversations' about the parts I made available. That's a HUGE part of spreading valuable information.

Is there a Panjo specific discussion thread somewhere? If not, there really needs to be one.
