Change Front Brakes - ABS?

I have a 2006 xB and need to change the brake pads. Have seen the DIY: https://www.clubxb.com/forums/scion-x...sk-brakes.html

But there is no info in that posting about ABS, is there something I should know, or is there any extra caution I need to be aware of to not make a mess of things. I was looking to put EBC dimpled and slotted rotors on, rather than stock Toyota parts.

Re: Change Front Brakes - ABS?

If you're just changing pads and rotors, the only thing to look out for ABS-wise is the wheel speed sensor & wire. It's not particularly delicate, but it's in the vicinity of the work you'll be doing.

If you're doing anything with the fluid, be sure to keep air out of the lines. An air bubble in the lines affects braking performance, but if air travels into the ABS system, then you'll need Toyota-specific software (the kind very few home DIYers have) to bleed it.

Just don't let the caliper hand and put everything back and you'll be fine.
