Engine cuts when driving

I decided to start a new post for this, issue I've been having. A couple weeks ago my box cut out while driving down the freeway. It started back up fine and I drove home. I asked the forums and they said it might be water in my gas. I put some Heet fuel treatment in it and I've been driving it ever since, about 75 miles.

Today the car cut out again, and this time or keeps doing on me but not throwing any codes or showing any lights. Sometimes it does right after starting, sometimes it takes 5 minutes or so.

What's going on with my car?! Is it still water in the gas? Can I put another bottle of treatment in it? Or should I start their parts at it? Maybe a fuel solenoid, fuel pump and screen I don't know what else to do?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Have you gotten gas since putting the Heet in your tank? Or are you still on the same tank of fuel? Could't hurt to put another bottle in.

These cars get such good mileage that I'm still on the same tank. I did top it off, maybe 3 gallons, I guess I can try another bottle. Do you think the treatment could have worn off before I used the gas?

When you topped it off, did you use the same station that you got gas from before? If so, I would suspect contaminated gas. Use another bottle of HEET and see if the problem goes away again.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure which station I got the gas from in the first place, but I'm suspecting it was the same one. I'll try another bottle tonight and maybe monitor the fuel pressure with my new gauge. Just a really weird thing to happen on an otherwise great running car...

UPDATE

I was talking with my friend about the xB dying randomly, and he asked me if I've had the ALTERNATOR tested. The car has always shown 12-14 volts and never had the lights go dim on me, so why would I? Plus, in order to test the alternator you have to remove it.

Because we didn't know when the P.O. changed the old one, I decided to just install a new alternator and start throwing parts at the issue. We also changed the water pump and serpentine belt for good maintenance.

Well, the car runs great so far. I let it idle for 35 minutes while I put the bumper and headlight back on, and after a ten mile drive we came back with no issues. The A/C still drops the rpm's but it's not as bad as before. Hopefully this solved the issue!
