I can tell you while I was growing up, telling my parents what I was going to do just led to an ass whooping.

Re: The "Say whats on your mind/Rant" thread

There's a charity car show at the last drifting event of the year next month and I'm tempted to enter the box. He's never been in a show before, and even though I'm not totally satisfied with the current dip job I think he's a decent 10-footer. I bet he'd be the only box in the show -- I've yet to see any customized xBs in Fargo that go beyond stickers. There are awards after the event but I don't think he'd win anything unless there's a novelty award haha.

Need to find a guide to removing the side mirrors. Mine look like trash from being overlooked during dipping and that's definitely a no-no for a show.

Like completely off the car? The triangle cover pops off and theres 2 (maybe 3) bolts holding them on. After that they should come right off.

I forget if they’re bolts or nuts, but I took mine off a few years ago to dip the turn signal covers since they faded to a very light yellow.

Re: The "Say whats on your mind/Rant" thread

So my 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0t started an engine knock. Come to find out many have this issue due to connecting rod and oil pump failure. So Hyundai is installing a brand new engine and turbo for free, I'm soooooooo ecstatic about saving $3000. Minus the transmission and suspension its going to be a new car

Thanks, I'll give that a go this week if the weather holds out. No bueno to dip below 55 degrees and we're already in the depths of fall chilliness up here.

Engine swap is being a PITA. Stripped threads in frame, had to order tap. Rear exhaust manifold don't fit and intake won't go back on because it hits underside of wiper tray.

Just picked up my first big girl toolbox!

Coworker's nephew works for JD and upgraded to a huge new one, so he was looking to get rid of his college box. Scored it for $450. Has some small love dents but nothing I wouldn't have caused anyway. Hell of an upgrade from my plastic bins, buckets, and piles of random crap.

The boys who delivered it were the epitome of "corn fed Midwest bros" and called me ma'am. Felt like I was back in the South for a bit. 🌽

The domino effect in the garage has started now. The ideal place for this puppy is near a cluster of outlets... which is where I've dumped my extension ladder. 🤦‍♀️ So today's project is getting bike hooks to store the ladder on the ceiling, getting that out of the way, then putting the toolbox in its home.

This purchase put me in the doghouse with the girlfriend because she was planning on getting me a toolbox for the holidays, but I couldn't pass up this deal! Afterwards she demanded a list of tools to "pass along to Santa" because I'm a PITA to shop for apparently. I'm so glad she keeps me 😉

LOL, my wife quit trying to buy me tools years ago. The Santa list is a good idea. I need to declutter my garage badly. Just tell her you are remodeling your Therapy Room.
