Ahh, Deb. That was the very first project I did the day we got the keys to our home. Before we put in our offer, the agent had mentioned that she thought the original oak flooring was underneath the '70 "wall to wall" carpeting when we first viewed the house, so I took it upon myself to yank up a corner in the hallway to see for myself (you can imagine the look on her face when I did).
30 days later, we got the keys at 12 noon. Wife went back to work, and I went out and got a carpet knife, some twine, dust masks and removed 3 rooms of carpet (plus some that were in one closet plus the hallway) in a couple of hours. Yeah, I was bushed.
