It's not too late! Talk me down! '15 in Sizzling Crimson Mica
Well... I just put $500 non-refundable down on a 2015 Base with a manual with 45K miles. Will have to drive about 600 miles to pick it up and 600 to drive it home, but it was the right one. Manuals are hard to find and since we live in the snowbelt we try to buy more southern cars. This was in FL for awhile and is currently in southern Indiana. 12K is the price... certainly not a steal, but not bad. I'm fairly confident this is the one.
They say you're always fighting the last war, and our last war has been with a 08 VW Touareg, which is the finest piece of German engineering... when it's running (basically a Porsche Cayenne), but when it's not running? Oy, vey! Just fixed (didn't replace) a door handle and a airbag light and it was $580! Zoiks. 650 sensors just waiting to go bad. So, we wanted Toyota reliability this time and the XB just seems roomy, economical, and nicely odd. I also appreciate the zip, especially with the stick.
We have a littleguy teardrop trailer (900lbs) and haven't decided if we'll pull it or not. With the manual, I'm guessing it should be ok.
Pics to follow! Looking forward to learning from the forum... all the repair tips, and hoping I never have to use them!
