Have You Wrapped Your xB

I told my wife she should wrap her xB but she has no idea what it looks like. Has anyone here wrapped their xB with a simple no graphic wrap? If so please post a pic.

I've done liquid wraps with plasti-dip though I do complex themes, not just solid colors.

Have you heard of our Lord and Savior Plasti-Dip?

Thanks ID. I am really looking for xb's with the Vinyl wraps. No graphics. Just a wrap close to the OE color.

are you planning on doing the inside or outside? honestly i would guess if you wrapped the outside it would just look the color wrap you used.. matte or super shiny. google vinyl wrapped cars? Vinyl wrapping interior is a B**** tho. i tried it and tore it all off. (( i sure hope your experienced with it. If i was gonna wrap my car id go to a professional so it looked legit or else it wouldn't be worth it to me.

Sorry Ghost, I missed this response. I'm looking to wrap the outside. I've googled and seen a few wraps but most of them have decals or prints on them. I'm looking for something close to her Black Cherry xB.

hmmm imo i think dipped cars look extremely similar to wrapped cars. maybe youtube that color and see if anyone has dipped their car black cherry? theres a guy on there that plasi dips a ton of different colors and records it. It might look similar or the same results your looking for. or maybe even look into getting someone to dip the car or do it yourself. Thats the same idea as wrapping and might even last longer (not speaking from experience). I would personally think that would be easier with the right tools. lol i'm super against wrapping cuz my bad experience trying to wrap my dash. Just throwing out ideas cant wait to see the end results!

I think you mean me lol. Per the signature, I'm not a dude. MadCow used to hang around here and did some dipping but I haven't seen him here in over a year.

Re: Have You Wrapped Your xB

Be aware that wraps have a life to them. I am helping a friend de-wrap a car right now. The first layer of wrap was on way to long and cracked. Then to top it off, somebody put a second wrap over that. The first wrap is so bad, that the paint looks like its cracked, but its not. I don't know what to call it, but the cracks from the the bad vinyl "bled" through and shows on the paint as cracking. I hope that maybe a cut and buff will get rid of it, otherwise I may just wrap it again. In the pics, you can see the solid gray on the drivers side. Once that's off, you can see whats under it on the passenger side. If you decide to wrap, spend the money and buy the best you can, because cheap wrap makes you pay for it in the end.
