New xB owner
Hey,
I just found this site after spending all day driving around in my new (to me) xB. I just bought a 2005 Camo Metallic xB with 116k miles. It has some high mileage for being a 7 year old car, but the entire car is nearly flawless. I've fallen in love with this car only after a day and thus I searched for a community to share my enthusiasm and hopefully teach me a few things. I'll be posting pictures on this thread once I get home from work tomorrow. I'm excited to join the ClubxB family!

Re: New xB owner
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm new to the world of xB's so if anyone has any sites for affordable parts or anything helpful, I'd be happy to check it out. I just stumbled across the car by mistake and remembered I had wanted one with they came out, so I gave it a shot and ended up coming home with it. Pictures will be attached this evening!

Re: New xB owner
I'm looking for any and all mods/information about the mods. Visual or mechanical. I think I'll start off with lights and possibly a spoiler and then on to the more technical things.

Re: New xB owner
If you are into it I would lower it first, clear the headlights out, put an exhaust on it....
Those are 3 cheap things that you can do to customize your XB

I'm very new to modding any cars. Can anyone explain, or does anyone have a thread or DIY for clearing the headlights? And I will probably lower it a bit and eventually put a different exhaust system on it.

Re: New xB owner
Check the first gen diy section... Several ways to go about doing different stuff different ways. I've gotten a lot of ideas from there that I can't wait to try out when I finally get an xb. There is do much stuff and not enough time in the day to read everything... I some times forget forget to read the new member threads or the general discussion stuff because I'm too busy reading how to change stuff, modify, tips on making your job easier... Now that I've told you this we might not see you reply again for a few days due to you losing yourself in the diy section. Have fun, report back in every so often so we know you're still kicking lol

If you are new to doing modifications to your vehicle or any vehicle in general.. I would strongly suggest reading up in the DIY section on this site.
On my XB and my friends XBs all I or We did was to take the headlight off the vehicle took the headlight bulb out of the headlight assembly and then we took a screw driver and jabbed it through the bulb hole and broke the orange relfector out then shook the light until all the pieces fell out..
If you are looking for a little more power sound etc. I would bring your XB to your local muffler shop and ask them about doing a cat back exhaust system on it.. On mine I did a cat back Magnaflow system.. I thought it sounded pretty nice. I know some others that have went with a flowmaster, dynomax etc. I would upgrade the piping from the cat back.

Re: New xB owner
Thanks for all the replies. It'll take me a few days to get to the DIY section, and apparently several days to get myself out of it, haha. I'll keep you guys updated and will keep questions rolling as I find stuff.
