1st Gen sunroof/ security

I have had my xb for about two weeks now. Since I haven't seen any other xbs with sunroofs, I was wondering if they come stock. My xb has two sunroofs, one above the drivers area and one above the back seats. Love these features, but wondering if they are... factory.

Another concern I have is the, what I believe to be, factory security system. The dumb thing clicks and constantly locks and unlocks my doors... and the other day it was causing the dash lights to flicker as though it were possessed. If this wasn't bad enough, the car remained on even though the keys were taken from the ignition. Anyone experience this problem?

Not quite sure how to distinguish a scion security system from an aftermarket one.

Anyone have any insight to offer? Any and all is appreciated!

Re: 1st Gen sunroof/ security

sunroof is not factory. (there was an option for awhile for a panaramic front to back sunroof, but stopped makin it do to structual issues)

if ur alarm is factory ur keyfob will have the scion logo on it.

if the car kept running with the key out, i wonder if u have a remote start system installed and the ignition overide( or whatever its called) is acting up

BigRuss will become famous soon enough
Are you sure it was running or did the retardedly loud confuse you? On hot days the fan will stay on to help cool any coolant in the radiator... mainly because its an electric fan and not a clutch driven mechanical fan like you f find on old cars and most new trucks

Seriously who farted

Re: 1st Gen sunroof/ security

Thanks for the insight...I had a feeling they weren't factory. I love'um anyway. With regards to the poltergeist in my xb, I know it was running as I drove it around without the key in the ignition! Anyway, I don't have a factory set of keys. I'm thinkin about ordering some from the dealer. There is a black box underneath the stearing column with a barcode, but no apparent tags. Don't know if factory or aftermarket and if aftermarket then scion dealer won't touch it...

I'll have it checked to see if it does indeed have a remote starter installed. Thanks everyone!

I am 100% sure they are not factory because I asked the dealers before.
