Stacking amps under seat?

Hi there!
I'm in the middle of my install while we speak and I've seemed to have hit a snag! I've hit a space restraint for my amps. Is it ok to stack my amps on top of each other in front of my passenger seat with 3/4 inch mdf blocks in between will the amps over heat? I'm rocking an mtx tc4004 4 channel and an alpine mrp-m500 monoblock.
Thank you!

Re: Stacking amps under seat?

im sure you could make a bracket to hold up the top rack and still provide airflow to the bottom one

Like mentioned above, just build a stand to stack them with a small air space between. Size wise, you don't need a 3/4. my first stand was made out of 1/4 ply and is now 1/4 plexiglass. I have not had any overheating issues.

Awesome thanks guys. I've decided to leave the back seats out for a bit or maybe for good so I'm kinda reworking everything right now lol.

Re: Stacking amps under seat?

I had a custom stainless steal amp rack shaped as an X mounted across the top of the cab in my XB behind the front seats.. I pulled my back seats out all together..

Used to have two stacked under driver's seat, but both had internal fans. Spaced mount studs with plexi blocks. PC fans can be fabbed in.
