abs light?
Abs light comes and goes, sometimes has a weird stop when applying the brake...
Just started doing this any ideas.... Light doesn't stay on at all times, sensor going bad or something else.
I've had this problem with my few integras I've had in the past but that was simply brake fluid needing added in the reservoir to knock the light out not a sensor...
Wanna get this fixed one less light on.....

Is it the red BRAKE light or actual ABS light (do we have an ABS on the first gen I am drawing a blank )
If red BRAKE light check fluid level, mine came on and went off a couple of times and then came on full time one day so I checked fluid and it was at the minimum line I filled it and it went out.
If ABS light, that is a different story. May be sensor may be something else.

Re: abs light?
The actual abs light and it stops weird at first like a slip sorta...but the light comes and goes, first thing I did was check the fluid and checked to see if the abs unit had a spot to add fluid, cause on the integras there abs unit has a spot to fill plus it makes a awful noise when its low and the light kicks on...
I'll check sensors ect..
Anyone else ever had this problem shoot me some info thx

Re: abs light?
May be one of the sensors is acting up. You can try to read the fault code to narrow the problem down, all you need is a paperclip and then the ABS light should do a series of flashes: http://www.clubxb.com/forums/showthr...t=30793&page=3 Once you know the code you can just look up the definition on google.

Re: abs light?
That usually means that no codes are stored in the memory. They can get erased automatically if there is no problem during a certain number of trips. Gotta wait for the light to start coming on again and try reading the code then.

Re: abs light?
Hmm that will be hard it comes and goes...noticed it stopping weird sometimes but never seen the light coming on due to the 3 stooges and the airbag light lol, yesterday I finally noticed it but it only stays on for a couple mins then goes away seems like its under hard or fast stops

Re: abs light?
When was the last time you had your brake pads checked?
Maybe they need to be changed or maybe thrash has gotten lodged in the brake and it is causing it to read like it is locking up and kicking the ABS.
Just a thought since you say braking feels different.

DO you have an OBDII code reader. Or Autozone nearby?
If dash lights are on go have it checked. Autozone I know for sure will check it free, some others may as well. Then checked the codes.

Sounds like a sensor going bad and activating the abs giving you a weird pedal feel. If its not giving you a hard code then someone with a good scan tool, ie Snap-on Verdict to watch the speed sensors to which is failing. Going to be a little more than a dyi.

Re: abs light?
More like pretty confusing. The only part I understood was the new pads and rotors.

It came on for a good time while driving I pulled over shut it off done the paper clip ect turned the ignition to on and just both vsc/abs blinked at same time... I noticed if I turn the car off then back on it sits the abs light off usually...
Going to check the sensors later on today

Re: abs light?
Found it the pass. Side sensor wire was rubbing against the strut and rubbed the cover off so wire was exposed hitting the metal...fixed
