If you have a set of headlights that can be sent in, Steve can have his guy do them for you. Just email steve@scionpro.com to discuss it.

Re: Anyone do retro fits?

A friend of mine from my old neon forums is offering to do mine for $490.

Parts:
• Morimotos
• Demon Eye
• Bi-Xenon Harness
• 6000k HID Kit
• Shroud

I just can't decide if I like the look on boxes enough to drop nearly $500. Hell, I even have spare headlights already purchased for this.

Re: Anyone do retro fits?

If you get the morimoto minis its all plug and play. The hardess part is baking your headlights pulling the lense off and resealing it.

Www.theretrofitsource.com $320 shipped i believe. Get the 9003/h1 kit. It comes with a mounting plate that allows direct bolt on and utilizes stock headlight adjustments.

That's the easy part! 300*F for about 7-8 minutes on wood or ceramic material, then just pry off with screwdriver.

There's a kit for the xB2, but not the xB1 :\.

Re: Anyone do retro fits?

Interesting, I just went the FX-R route. Do you have any install pictures? Specifically the mounting plate that they reference?

Re: Anyone do retro fits?

I don't have any pics of the plates themselves but I'll take of pics of how they look after work today and hopefully post them up tonight. You can find the pics on theretrofitsource.com The FX-R is a better retrofit than Morimoto Minis IMO, but if you're just looking for simple HID output with great cutoff, the Minis are the way to go.

Re: Anyone do retro fits?

so if you were to piece together one of those sets. you would need the projector and the shroud correct?

Yeah the way i look at it... If you get pulled for having hid's in an oem non supportive housing then thats one thing. im sure after doing the retrofit you could probably argue it. Yes people do get pulled for it around here.

Re: Anyone do retro fits?

Yes you need a shroud to help protect the lens/projector and it looks cool. Let us know on the forum if you need help.

I would sit next to Audi's and I put out just as much light as they do. I just can't compete with Honda S2000's or Acura's. There projectors are the best in the industry.

My headlights are being used as the R&D set for a Dare 2B Different Scion specific retro fit kit.

Since you bought the minis.... And now I want to do this, I want to make sure these are the right options:

Adapter plate: I have no idea what one I need, only real question I have.
Ballast: Morimoto 3Five 4300K
Bulbs: H1 Morimoto 3Five 5000K (for the whitest possible output)
CCLF Angel Eyes: No (up to the user, obviously)
Projectors: LHD (for us people in the States)
Re-Sealing glue: Yes (because who wants to go to home depot?)
Shrouds: Mini Gatling Gun (shouldn't require cutting?)
Wire Harness: H4/9003

Re: Anyone do retro fits?

Since our lamps are 9003/H4 you will need a H4 adapter plate. Depending on how you install, you might want to take a dremel to the shroud. But I would fit it all in there and see how it looks then mark up the part with a dry erase marker then cut from there.

Re: Anyone do retro fits?

Well, now that that's all figured out, I shall do this after my suspension I think... $310 with all options I want, and just some time. I can manage this.
