Has been this long since I posted in here?
This section seemed appropriate, my mate Ian lost his fight with pancreatic cancer in July.
His passion for everything with 4 wheels was truly outstanding. It seemed that he was more gutted than I when the bB was declared a total loss in December.
Part of him lives on. He has asked me to look after his Sebring Sprite and to take to as many shows as possible, put some miles on her and to have fun.
While this is far from a bB as I can get, I still want another!

She's already lined up for two large shows, Chelsea Auto Legends and Goodwood Revival.
If I could afford to get the bB back on he road I would

It's been on my drive since January...

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. However i am so happy that you can still celebrate your friend by enjoying the car he so loved. Please have fun and i hope you win all the shows you go to.

Watching a loved one die of cancer is one of the reasons i started modding my car. While i may never ever win a show, i feel that if i can make at least one person smile each day, I've helped the world move just that much more away from all the sadness there is.

and a Sprite is such a joyful little car. (Like an xB.)

The rarest British cars are those that run - under their own power. Don't think I've seen one of those classics on the road in a couple of generations. They don't call Lucas "The Prince of Darkness" for nothing.

Oh she runs under her own power

1330cc, built by a legend called Peter May, 6500rpm red line but can buzz to 9k, single Weber 45 and good for 120-130bhp. Electronic and ecu controlled ignition.
Straight cut 4speed box, by Jack Knight, the last box he built.
Straight through exhaust win a very small 'silencer'.
The tub is steel, inner arches and doors ally. Everything above my butt is fibreglass and rear screen is poly.
So she's very light.
Since the build she's only has 1243miles under her wheels and that will be increasing!
This is more than likely against forum rules, but as I've enjoyed myself here, if any wants trim parts off he bB for the cost of shipping send me a message.
I'm not wanting to make money, just to offer what I can before she's scrapped.
