15x13 -119 on an xb

Ok so here goes im gonna try my best to answer any questions you may have on how i did this. the wheels themselves are 15x13 -94 (15x11 up front) but i had to run lug adapters since they are 4x114.3. They are Ronal Racing wheels, aluminum barrels and magnesium faces. these weigh as much as a stock steelie lol. i got these form a local guy who bought em from a wheel collector and he couldn't tell me what they came off of. in fact i cant find anything about the wheels online anywhere. ok so heres the work that was done.
the lip of the rear wheels

heres how they looked when i got em

then with some mothers polish and tons of polishing

heres the car about 2 weeks ago. no mirrors no flares

Just a little poke :P

for the flares i used 3/32 thick plastic. heres the first one cut out next to my cardboard template

i used aluminum to make a skeleton for the flares to screw to. also you might ask why are there 2 sets of holes from the old flares? i owned t sets of bbist flares. the holes didnt line up. can you say quality fail? haha

heres the cutting and hacking that eugene and i did to the rear.

first flare on along with some new datsun mirrors

the second one done

and finally all 4 done with pipes on.

So since i know it's gonna get said yes the rear tires are way too big. the only thing available in a 15 for a wheel that wide is racing tires. the ones i need are about 230 a piece so those are on hold for a little bit. the flares were a biiiiiiiiiitch to do. finally went out and got a dope dremel with the saw attachment and that sped things up a bit i had to buy several sheets of plastic because i messed up on a couple of em. the fronts are cut up as bad as the rears including the kit. i can still barely turn the car. 19 point u-turns FTW! the front flares will be trimmed down a bit more as well this is just as it sits right now. i gotta give a big thanks to eugene (eav10xb) for his help and making me finish it up when i was just beyond pissed off at the whole project. the tires up front are 225/50 on an 11in wide and the rears i will be gettin are gonna be 275/35. umm if you have any questions or comments post em up! thanks

trully epic James, Big Hungry showed me the "finished" pics the other day, and I just did not even know what to say, LOL.

Will running air help ANY with the turning?

and so the car IS drivable, just not practical?

And how you going to get the gas door open?

i dont care, you have redeemed yerself james.
youve really put that material to work without having to use frp or banging the metal to fit.

i really like it cause no one has done it.

now reinforce that so you can roll on the fwy.

Re: 15x13 -119 on an xb

haha thanks guys. eric it's fine as it is on the freeway driven at 70 with pretty much no movement on the flares. goth air wont help at all. im already on stock suspension haha.the fuel door is openable i just gotta push down a bit on the flare and it is drivable just not very practical. i only get 3/4 of a turn out the wheel lmao

forget 3 point turn, more like 8 point u-turn. how bout if you notch the gas lid area? btw, looks as thou you used the door trim molding also. those trims are universally used for just about anything!

btw, yer new name is..........bumble bee. my son just saw yer ride and coined it from transformer....
