Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

Yea after looking at a few pic's on here from other xb's I'd have to say that it looks cool as well. Just can't wait to order me some and try them out.

I just have to fix the fogging problem I have in my right fog light first.

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

Hey Guys,

I've the ebay special dual halo projectors on my 05, but the halos are barely visible during the day. I've seen a bunch of pics and some in person where the halos are bright enough to see during the day, what gives?

I have mine wired to the parking lights as opposed to the blinkers. Any idea how I can make them brighter? Especially since I'm going to be installing HIDs on the lights soon.

Thanks!

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

well, you can buy actual/legit/expencive ccfl halo rings and basically replace the halos. But I've looked around and there all expensive. But they are legit and look great. But again there alot of $, so if it's worth it to ya then go for it. Just post pics

Thanks for the tip on what the halos are "actually called", yeah yeah <--total noob lol. But a quick search lead me to this site with $30 ccfl halos, which I can part with to get the look I want. Now all I have to do is figure out the size and a DIY install guide and I'll be good to go!

Here they are complete with acrylic covers for $50

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

I know that the eagle eye's I'm getting that are like anzo's are almost $300. But I've seen them in action and they are bright. The LED's in them are said to be as bright as 6k. But I'm sure that is just an advertisement deal.

The headlight thread is for showing off, not selling or buying.

From the 1st post...

so anyone with any headlight housings other than stock should post pics of them installed with maybe a night-time light distribution shot as well to save everyone some time.

*anyone with the following should post pics*

Arrow Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

HI everybody, so my car had a "lasik" surgery and now has 55Watt HID instead of 35Watt. What can I say OH MAN... what a difference... I'm glad I have projectors, otherwise 35watt sounded like "blinding" upcoming traffic, 55Watt HID would been a frightening experience. Upcoming traffic will see "light at the end of tonnel" HAHAHAHAHA. Sounds interesting, here is MOST HELPFUL INFO FOR YOU:
Temperature 35 watt lumens 55 watt lumens Colour
3000K 2950 4800 Yellow
4300K 3200 5000 White with a hint of yellow
5000K 3150 4900 White
6000K 3140 4800 Very Light Blue
8000K 3100 4700 Deep Blue
10,000K 2950 4500 Deeper Blue
12,000K 2920 4500 Very Deep Blue

Please note that the lumens are approxmate and that colour may vary. ALSO, I have to warn, 55Watt would produce "White with a hint of yellow" light no matter what Temperature you chooose all the way up to 10000K. YES. I kid you not,

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

so, on the topic of hids, has anyone else had problems with blowing a ballist? I blew two ballists on the passanger side in one night......i miss the hids. My guess is that I had them mounted in a bad position.....wheres the best place to mount the ballists?

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

Dunno if this counts, but I Baked mine over the weekend, took the Orange/Yellow lenses out, and painted them Black. Chrome bulbs on the side and Halogens in the heads.
