J.

are you going to try and run an air setup in the front and then the air shocks in the rear?

^^^ Yes thats the plan. i thought about building my own coilovers. i work in a machine shop. Build it off the stock struts. make the spring perch adjustable.

i really wouldn't advise going that route for long term. the struts are going to be able to take a lot more pressure then the rear so you really wouldn't be able to put them on the same system. also the air max shocks are slow, slow as hell. i think that you would be very disappointed by the quality.

if you wanted to run this while trying to save for rear bags that might be a plan, but as an end goal its not going to be ideal.

Re: monroe max-air = poor mans air ride ???

I dont really know what ur asking. but i ran em for a few months, and was messing with them every day. lol. the only problem i found was that no matter how much air u put in them they were never stiff enough. which was lame because i wanted to drive really low, and have it really stiff so i wouldnt rub. other then that, they ride real nice, and when u air out, they sit real nice too

try it with out springs, see how you like it.

Coilover springs are better for this application because they are smaller and can compress more.

I tryed it with NO springs and lost all my air some how. All lines where tight. so i put springs in it and it was STIFF. felt like i had a steel bar in there. i took all the air out with the springs and it was still a stiff ride. im gona save up for coilovers.
