I've recently done the unthinkable. During a jump start, I reversed the polarity, and, consequently, blew my tps(throttle positioning sensor), If anyone knows how to work this out without going to the dealership, please let me know.
Does anyone know how to replace the tps for a 2008 scion xb? I recently(accidentally) reversed the polarity on my battery while jump starting and I think I blew this sensor. The engine fires up and idles nice, but wont throttle up past 1300 rpm. It's a manual transmission so that's not high enough to set first gear. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks
I did this about a year ago with my 08' XB. I thought that it was the Throttle sensor. It would start up fine, idle at about 1000, but would not accelerate. Turns out it was a fuse. Hope this helps.
