So last weekend I got the new engine in, everything ran perfectly. It was a happy day. Drove all over the place finally enjoying my new ride. It was running awesome!!
When I got home I noticed one coolant hose was loose and I had lost a little coolant from the jug. So I tightened up the hose and filled the coolant jug.....except I over filled it. Went to bed looking forward to being able to take to get smog checked so I could get my tags.
Next day, started right up. Drove it a short distance and it started missing and check engine light....actually all three stooges lite up. Stopped at Pep Boys for a code read, all four codes for the coils came up.
Turned around, got it home. Popped the hood, and found that the excess coolant had drenched the surface of everything in the area This included the MAF body since it's now right in front of the coolant jug what with the K&N Typhoon I also installed. So I assume the coolant had gotten into one of the plugs and was confusing the ECU.
Washed it all down, blew air in the plug to the ECU and TPS and ordered my own Code Scanner. This was last Monday, so it simply sat since until this weekend save I removed both battery connectors to allow some amount of resident memory to clear.
Got my Innova Code Canner last night. So today I put in four new plugs. Cleared the codes, started it up, and all four PO35X codes came on. Installed four different coil packs that came off the old engine. Cleared the codes, started it up, and all PO35X codes again.
And the engine clearly isn't happy as if I rev it up it want so go into safe mode.
So unless coincidentally have 8 bad coil packs it doesn't make sense it's actually the coil packs, but something in common to all four that isn't making them happy. The MAF did get drenched, but then I would expect I'd be getting a code for the MAF. But I don't.
Thoughts, suggestions?

My definition of safe mode....if I rev the engine it hits a limiter level. If I hit the rev a bit aggressively, the engine will die and won't start unless I first turn the key to completely off. Thereafter it will start up.

six pack of beer to anyone that identifies the problem ending up in a fix, either via this forum or in my driveway.

So I went through every procedure for checking the electrical system for the Ignition coils I could find as outlined in the Toyota Factory Service Manual.
All wiring from the ECM to each of the coils is dead on spec.
The system gets ground from the engine block, so I even pulled it, polished both sides of the metal connection donut to insure continuity. Clearly the ECM is getting power or it wouldn't start up at all.
As a wild hair I unplugged, checked the pins, and plugged back in every single connector I could find just to be sure the ECM was seeing every signal it's supposed to.
I again swapped out all four ignition coils with the ones from the old engine and I still get the exact same p0351, po352, po353, & po354 codes. And no other codes.
The only thing I haven't swapped out is the ECM itself.
I'm thinking either a Voodoo priest, or a Catholic Priest with exorcism skills.
HELP!!
