Pros - Looks cleaner

Cons - Admins bring back dead posts from 2006/2007
*Example: "RECENT ARTICLES" have 4 posts from 2006... that's recent?
- More useless adds
- "POPULAR ARTICLES" are the exact same as recent articles.
- "Best of Clubxb" makes no sense
*This is where you should put stuff like "show us your racks" and "your xb with scenery"
- Nothing linked for the for sale items. Maybe get rid of the Recent articles and put in "Classifieds" in its place. Oh and link to recent sales not ones from 2006.

All in all your front page looks like someone used MS Front page and just threw up a bunch of links without looking at them to see if they were recent, popular or the best. It's a good start but needs a lot of refinement.

To me the new homepage seems counter-productive at this point. I miss the "recent classifieds" section that was at the bottom of the main page before.

I really, really love the new home page it is very user friendly and not so cluttered it looks so hip and modern...kind of like an xB

You have to remember this site is now a business. This is their way of generating hits to their other sites and adds. I only have one issue with it, that it doesn't have any links to car forums. This is a car site emphasize the car aspect please.

Oh and I think I found out why the embedding was disabled. In the TOS it states... Basically if you don't own the material you can't share it. Unless of course you get permission. The sites got to protect their interests.

To those of you who like it- thanks. We are reviewing suggestions and will keep improving it. For those of you who don't like it....all you have to do is bookmark the forum and nothing is different.

Youtube embedding fixed- thanks for pointing it out. Gcat007- we don't have any weird hang-ups or issues with posting or embedding pics or videos on our forums.

For looks, yes, it looks nicer, but functionality is lost.

No more rescent threads on the main page, gotta click a link for that. No more rescent classifieds on the main page means clicking mutliple links to find what you want. I'm too lazy to check every forum on cluxb for posts relevent to my interests. So if its not on the main page, it doesn't matter to me.

Is there no way to log in on the new homepage?

Why doesn't the main page adapt to screen resolution? I have a wide screen monitor and I have more blank space on each side of the screen then the actual area where things are posted.

Not trying to be a hater, but I gotta say I liked the way it functioned before this update. Hopefully some of the functionality of the main page will come back in time.

Maybe the ability for it to show sections that are user spasific, by changing options in our user control panel. When I log in, it will show rescent threads, classifides, subscribed threads, and rescent South east threads. You'd pick what sections you want to show on the main page.

Clicking on "Latest Posts" takes you back to the old home page. Please bookmark it for those of you who have a tough time dealing with change of any kind.

I definetly dont like the new update, the front page is to full of advertisements and corp. BS... site has become to much business, it has lost the fun that it was... when it was to bring people together that had similar intrest in the cars and now they are force feeding us, just like the government...

I joined the site just before the change and it looked good then. I came back after the site was redesigned and it looks great. Keep up the good work sanjay! Dont let the haters get you down.

If you'd really like to see the site be advertising free, maybe you'd like to step up and pay for all the cost associated with keeping this site up and running. Just a thought.

the change is amazing but i do find it hard to search for specific things

a nice feature to put in would be a diy section made just for posting projects and finding exactly what you need instead of searching for days on end

I use this site like most newbees I would think, to get ideas from the DIY's. The changes have made it harder to find what I'm looking for but it's still a great site.
