I just went to the hardware store and picked up two each of the following:
black automotive primer
black bbq/grill paint (I know, I know, but its extremely tough)
clear coat
The trick is to do multiple very light layers.
I'm a bit embarrassed at how dirty my trunk is, but my sub right now is just a 0.8 cubic foot wedge housing a Boston Pro10.5 (one of the best ever). The 6x9s are Infiniti Kappas powered by an Alpine 4x150. It's almost too loud back there right now... I really need more sound deadening.
Upcoming projects when it gets more sunny outside are to wrap the rear speakers and then learn to fiberglass and do a custom sub enclosure. Anybody tried that before?

They're Enkei or52's that I got from my girlfriend's brother for DIRT cheap. I think total was $400 for wheels + tires. Nothin' better than modding on the cheap and still lookin good in the end
