| Re: anyone running 0 or low offset on a gen 2? I am interested to see more wide wheels with low offsets - not that I am changing the wheels on mine anytime soon - but I like the idea and I have done some wide(r) wheels on my VW's in the past. Check out stanceworks - those crazy cats are doing some mad stuff with some wide wheels. |

| Re: anyone running 0 or low offset on a gen 2? yeah, but the new xb's fenders won't allow to much roll and pull action so slammed out on real wide wheels without cutting is a hard on to pull off. |

Someone has to have a decent fender roller or some mad old school skills here. I have rolled fenders a bajillion times, but the metal is different for german and japanese. I will look at them tonight and see what you guys are up against. |

| Re: anyone running 0 or low offset on a gen 2? I used an actuall roller for mine that mounts to the hub, I'm gonna go for round two when I get the coilovers, the problem is the bumpers they are mounted so high up on the fender that its hard to get them to match if you pull and roll is what I am fearing. |

| Re: anyone running 0 or low offset on a gen 2? I now see what you are saying. the transition from the bumper to the fender is a much greater transition because of the height - and it would make you look almost widebody fender'd to do that without some form of bumper pull as well. |

| Re: anyone running 0 or low offset on a gen 2? Exactly but if your running the wheel tire combo you only have maybe 6 to 7 inches of clearance with the df210s that is from bottom of car to ground |

| Re: anyone running 0 or low offset on a gen 2? I just ordered the 205/45/16's Falken's 912's for $329, weather is getting shitty nowadays so I figured new tires now is cheaper than paying my insurance deductable later driving on soon to need replaced tires. I'll post pics up when I get them in and put on.
14k miles good for our stockers? I don't baby it at all!
this size tire will make it 1.6" lower not counting the little stretch. Accoding to this easy to use calculator: Tire Dimensions Made Simple - Discount Tire

| Re: anyone running 0 or low offset on a gen 2? I only got 14k outta my stockers before I was showing wire. I'm at 1.97" difference, thats why I bottom out everywhere. It knocked my speedo off 5 mph. So if my speedo reads 65 i'm really only going 59...interesting, I thought something was different. |

Got a $130 ticket a couple weeks ago for "Digging out" long 2nd gear burn out of first screwing with a Vette. |

| Re: anyone running 0 or low offset on a gen 2? I'm running no psi, woo hoo for cheap gas and still can do hella burnouts in first and second...fail.... Mine wore quickly due to autocross, and zero rotations. My new tires are holding up better though, I may just get some more miles outta them. |

| Re: anyone running 0 or low offset on a gen 2? Hello all,
I finally decided, after trying XXR 502s and not liking the look, to go with 18" XXR 512s. They were mounted up this weekend, and I am pretty happy with the way they fit. The fronts stick out about 1/4" past the edge of the fender, and the rears are flush. I am running TRD lowering springs, so I stil have a decent amount of clearance. I will get a picture up this evening so people can see what they look like.
I would like to stretch the front fenders slightly, to get the fronts closer to flush. I know there is the risk of paint cracking, but is there any risk of damaging any mechanical components? |
